Our hall at Parriwi Park, Beauty Point is set in it's very own bushland with some excellent opportunities for environmental work. With assistance from Mosman Council, local bush regeneration experts and the local community, we are making Freeston Hall even greener with a range of environment projects. The centre showcases the current and future best practices in environmental living and include the members of the Scout Group in preparing the site and trying out the ideas. On Wednesday 26th March, we invited the families of the Group and the residents of Upper Spit Road to visit our Pack meeting and see for themselves what we have been up to. Several residents of the street came to see us and find out what we had been doing in the park. They pledged their support to our organisation. They found out about our worm farm, recycling projects, weed and bush management projects and the Clean Up Australia day. The evening finished with environmental questions for the Cubs. |
