The Mayor's Own Troop

We are honoured to be the Mayor's Own Troop for our 100th year in 2008. We will be at all the official council events to support mayor Denise Wilson and to be visible in the community.

Our first official duty is as ushers at the Mosman Citizenship Ceremony in February. There are six of these throughout the year to welcome new citizens to Australia.

The dates for 2008 Citizenship Ceremonies at Mosman are:
Thursday 28 February (photos right)
Wednesday 9 April Cancelled
Thursday 26 June
Thursday 21 August
Thursday 23 October
Wednesday 10 December

The Citizenship Ceremonies are conducted at the Mosman Art Gallery & Community Centre at 7.00pm by the Mayor and General Manager or his delegate. The official Ceremony takes about 45-60 minutes and is then followed by a short welcome reception for new citizens, their family and their guests.

We will also be participating in the Mosman RSL ANZAC Service on 20th April and in the parade.
