Cub Camp
September 2010
On September 11, 28 cubs from 1st Mosman 1908, 1st North Sydney (The newest pack in LNS) and Roseville gathered at Glenfield Scout Camp (At Liverpool, next to Holdsworthy Army base) for our ‘Swing your swag’ camp. Themed around the ‘Man from Snowy River’ we tracked animals … well baked cookies in foot shapes, observed animals, saw red bellied black snakes (Leader only activity), made jumbuck and swag woggles, cooked our lunch and purified our billabong water after the Swagman jumped into it. |

World Scout Day
August 2010
Over 100 Cubs from Lower North Shore and Turrumburra Districts held a joint World Scout day night. With a theme of “Football, Fashion and Food”, they rotated through a number of bases where they sampled curries and other foods, played sausage making games, practiced their goal shooting and had fun. 1st Mosman 1908 was well represented
The District Commissioners from both Districts came along to join in the fun. The night raised $238 for the World Scout $ day charity “Food for Life”. |

Fun Day
June 2010
In late June, the Sydney North region Cubs gathered for their Fun day at Ryde East public school. Districts put on more than a dozen activities covering obstacle courses, archery, crate stacking, biscuit decorating, continuous ball-in-a-pipe and other interesting and exciting things. 1st Mosman 1908 (As part of Lower North Shore district) ran the earth ball and parachute events. Many groups of Cubs moved around trying their activities and getting their passports signed. At the end of the day, Cubs showed their leaders what activities they had done and claimed their badges. |

Cub Leadership Course
May 2010
33 Cubs from across the district had a busy weekend when they attended the Lower North Shore and Turrumburra Cub Leadership course at Pennant Hills Scout camp.
Sessions on Promise and Law, Teamwork, Fairness and other Leadership subjects were mixed with a visit from the Music Man and a campfire. Jacinta, Zoe, Amy and Louis from 1st Mosman 1908 had a great time.
