Working Bees

We are very lucky to have two fantastic Scout Halls for our use, but keeping them well maintained takes time and effort. In the best traditions of Scouting, we aim to complete as much of the work on a voluntary basis to keep costs down and to involve our entire Scouting family in caring for their environment.

Although the Barn enjoys very little maintenance, occasional cleaning, clear-outs and small jobs are always needed. This are arranged on an ad-hoc basis.

Freeston Hall takes a lot more work to maintain the bushland setting as an important natural environment. Our work to control our impact on Parriwi Park is an important part of our commitment to the local community and also a key element in our youth program. We run a regular monthly working bee at Freeston Hall to keep everything tidy.
